July 2011 Playboy Slowly Making Its Way Around Boys Side

Version 1.0.0

Lake Huron, PA (July 8, 2025) – A graphic yet tasteful adult magazine has been circulating around several Camp Huron Lake boys bunks for the past week while the rest of boys side anxiously awaits their turns.  It has not been determined how the July 2011 edition of Playboy magazine, the brainchild of publishing legend Hugh Hefner, got onto the camp property but some speculate it was either hidden in the rafters of Bunk 17 or smuggled into camp by ten year-old Sam Barenberg who has been bragging about his step-father’s “stash” for the past two summers.

The highlights of the tastefully edited magazine include an insightful interview with pop sensation Justin Timberlake, 20 Questions with a pre-Ted Lasso Jason Sudeikis, as well as some financial tips from fiscally irresponsible actor Nic Cage.  The always popular Playboy Advisor which focuses on sex, relationships and etiquette is always a must read for campers aged 7-16.  The cartoons and humor section of the magazine is also a huge hit for the younger campers who are looking to supplement their summer reading lists with some alternative yet tasteful literature.  Additionally, the magazine features several nude pictures of Hefner’s wife Crystal in black and white pictorial so readers know it’s tasteful high-brow art, not pornography.

“I’ve learned a lot from the articles I read discretely last night under my blanket with my flashlight,” commented Jeremy Rabinowitz, 12, “I had no idea how to unleash the pleasure of my prostate before reading this issue.  What I like about this magazine is that it presents XXX-rated material in a stunningly explicit yet tasteful manner. These are important lessons in becoming a man as I look forward to my Bar Mitzvah in November.”

Generations of young men have gotten their first glimpse of the ultimate male lifestyle by indulging in Playboy magazine.  By all standards, it is a tasteful right of passage that is rather common within sleepaway camps for decades. Exposure to this type of tasteful magazine lets these naïve boys understand that it’s natural to aspire to become the type of man enjoys the finer things in life while in the company of one or more scantily clad beautiful females.

Unfortunately for most of boys side, once the magazine left Teen Bunk 35, the pages with racy yet tasteful photos were either ripped out or stuck together with some sort of glue-like substance, most likely the varnish that’s used in Arts & Crafts to create decoupage projects. The absence of these pages allowed the young men to focus less on the female form and more on ways to become a better person through expensive cars, clothing and cigars.

Many parents have been receiving strange letters packaged in discrete black plastic. “For Visiting Day, my son asked me to bring up silk smoking jackets and pipes and both need to be ‘tasteful’,” commented a confused Jenna Heyman, mother of two Huron Lake male campers. “He also asked my husband how old he was when his chest hair started coming in. What the hell is going on at that camp?”
