Bunk Moms Secretly Follow Children on West Coast Camp Trip

Anaheim, CA (August 1, 2025) – There’s crazy and then there are four mothers of Camp Huron Lake Teen Division campers who have shown up at every location along the six day trip to the Greater Los Angeles Area.  The mothers, who bonded over their hatred toward Shelly Weinberger on the Bunk 38 Mom Chat, became concerned after hacking into Director Marty Feldstein’s computer to get the detailed itinerary and figured out no camp photographer would be making the trip out west.

Like many sleepaway camps in the northeast, Camp Huron Lake’s oldest division of campers takes a week-long trip to California or other western destination. Most campers wait years and years to finally be in that division so they can experience a trip that is talked about for decades by former campers and counselors. While some campers send their parents a few pictures here and there, these mothers cannot live in a world where they’re not getting a nightly feed of their children at Sea World, Disneyland, and Venice Beach.

“When I heard there was only one camp photographer this summer I nearly lost my mind and when I heard none were going my daughter’s trip, the only thing I could do is find the trip itinerary and jump on the phone with my travel agent to make sure I didn’t miss a thing,” commented Shari Goldstein, mother of Teen girl Sylver. “So far we’re three days in and no one suspects a thing.”

Early Monday, Goldstein bribed the sixteen year-old operator of the timelessly popular “It’s a Small World” ride at Disneyland so she and her friends could hide among the multicultural display of children throughout the ride perhaps getting a 15 to 20 second glimpse of her daughter enjoying the ride. The next day bunk mom Allison Gershon was able to take a host of photos at the Sea World during the Orca Encounter Show as she rode a killer whale named “Tom” unbeknownst to her daughter who spent most of the show looking at her phone and catching up on four weeks without social media.

One of the crazed mothers riding a killer whale at Sea World San Diego while taking photos of her unsuspecting daughter.

For Goldstein and Gershon along with friends Jenna Glickman and Kerry Gerwitz the trip is more than just a junket to take pictures, it is an opportunity to ensure that there’s proper supervision at all times.

“We were right to come. At Sea World I saw two fifteen year-old campers go to the bathroom by themselves.  Where were the counselors? We’re only forty minutes away from some of the really bad areas of Los Angeles,” said Gershon unbeknownst to the fact that three of her daughter’s counselors were attending to a camper suffering an asthma attack. “(Camp Director Marty) Feldstein is gonna hear from me.

A mother hides in plain sight at the Venice Beach outdoor gym waiting to photograph her daughter when she is due to arrive at exactly 2:37 PST.

Tomorrow night the women will be on hand at the Los Angeles Dodgers game where each will be working in section 313 disguised as some sort of food or beverage vendor to ensure no campers get hurt by a foul ball into the upper deck.

“I keep thinking that I’m seeing my mother everywhere I go but that’s probably just me remembering that she said she’s always with me, no matter how far away,” noted Sylver Goldstein. “My mom isn’t crazy enough to follow me out here, is she? I don’t want to know the answer.”
