Old Bridge, NJ (July 17, 2020) – Out of work Camp Huron Lake photographer Oliver Davies was arrested yesterday at a local municipal park for disorderly conduct for taking pictures of random children participating in various activities throughout the grounds. Davies is expected to appear in court later this month.

According to several parents, Davies has been seen at the park for the past few weeks walking around taking snapshots of kids at the playground, on the basketball court, and eating picnic lunches.  Although technically not illegal, Davies’ behavior proved to be unsettling to stay-at-home father of two, Bill Dickenson.

“I honestly didn’t think it was that big of a deal but then I overheard him telling what looked to be a brother and sister that their mother was offering twenty bucks for each of them if they took a picture together and she was able to see it on the internet later that night,” said Dickenson.  “That sounded the alarm for me.”

Davies, the camp’s shutterbug for the past six summers, was also seen telling a bunch of children to get together and put their arms around one another for a group picture.

“It was weird since I didn’t know any of the other kids I was in the photo with.  Then he said we make our parents very happy by having our picture taken,” explained an 11 year-old girl who chose not to be identified by name.

The final straw came when Davies was seen running up to a set of parents bragging that he just got a “Money Shot” of their three children all together in one fantastic photo.

In his attempt to plead his innocence, Davies explained to the arresting officer that for seven weeks every non-COVID summer his seemingly creepy, intrusive photography behavior is actually very well received, even applauded, by parents and camp directors alike.
